Michelle started dancing at Bernadette Sloan School of Dance in Cumbernauld when she was 5 years old. She joined to make new friends, keep fit and because she never stopped dancing around the house. Since then she has performed in various amateur shows such as ‘Me and My Girl’ in the Kings Theatre and the Spiller’s Pantomime of ‘Cinderella’ in Motherwell Civic Centre. After performing in the pantomime Michelle joined Dance UK and became a member of our Pro Dance Course for many years. During this time Michelle worked as a class assistant in our classes across Glasgow before qualifying as a dance teacher with the BATD.
Michelle’s favourite dance genres are Tap and Street dance. She particularly enjoys teaching the Boys Street Dance classes and Girls Commercial classes.Michelle currently works part-time at Dance UK having recently graduated from the University of Glasgow as a Primary Teacher. She is delighted to be able to continue working at Dance UK while taking the next step in her career
